Air India flight AI1886, operating from Bhopal to Delhi, was diverted to Jaipur on Sunday morning after the aircraft reportedly developed a technical issue involving its left engine. A full emergency was declared at Jaipur Airport as a precaution.
The aircraft landed safely at Jaipur Airport at around 9:40 a.m. Air India said the aircraft was undergoing necessary checks in accordance with its safety procedures. The airline’s ground team also provided assistance to passengers following the diversion.
According to airline sources, passengers were subsequently transported to Delhi by road, while the aircraft remained at Jaipur Airport for further technical inspection. Air India said every effort was being made to get passengers to their destination at the earliest.
