Air India Pilot Dies During Bali Layover.

An Air India first officer has died in Bali after suffering a heart attack during a scheduled crew layover. The pilot, around 40 years old, had operated a flight from Delhi a day earlier and was resting at a hotel when he fell ill.

According to the airline, he reported severe discomfort and was immediately rushed to a nearby hospital, where doctors confirmed a heart attack. Despite prompt medical attention, he could not be revived.

Air India expressed deep sorrow over the loss and extended condolences to the pilot’s family. Officials stated that he had recently completed all mandatory medical checks and had no known pre-existing health issues.

The pilot was also operating within regulated flying-hour limits set by the Directorate General of Civil Aviation, with the incident highlighting the unpredictable nature of medical emergencies.
