Air India’s second retrofitted Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner has now emerged in the airline’s new livery as the carrier continues its large-scale fleet modernisation programme under the Tata Group.
The aircraft, registered VT-ANP, recently returned after undergoing refurbishment work aimed at enhancing passenger comfort and upgrading cabin standards. The retrofitted jet now features refreshed interiors, updated seating, and redesigned cabin spaces aligned with Air India’s new branding identity.
As part of its transformation strategy, Air India is progressively upgrading its Boeing 787 and Boeing 777 widebody fleet to offer a more modern onboard experience. The initiative is focused on improving long-haul travel comfort while bringing older aircraft closer to the standards of the airline’s newer fleet.
The upgraded Dreamliner also carries Air India’s new red, gold, and purple livery, which was officially introduced in 2023 as part of the airline’s rebranding campaign. The refreshed design represents the carrier’s new image as it works to rebuild and modernise operations.
Air India is expected to return more retrofitted aircraft to service in the coming months as the airline accelerates efforts to renew its fleet and strengthen its international operations.
