Digi Yatra, a cool system using Face Recognition Technology, is getting bigger! By the end of April, 14 more airports will have it, including Chennai, Indore, and Patna. This system helps people move through airports without touching anything, making travel easier.

Digi Yatra started in December 2022, and it’s run by a group called the Digi Yatra Foundation. Now, they’re adding it to more airports to help even more travelers.

The new airports where Digi Yatra will be available are Bagdogra, Bhubaneswar, Chandigarh, Coimbatore, Dabolim, Mangalore, Raipur, Ranchi, Srinagar, Trivandrum, and Vishakhapatnam. This means people flying from these places can use their faces instead of papers to get through security faster.

The boss of Digi Yatra says people’s information is safe and only stored on their own phones. So, no need to worry about privacy!

Here’s how it works: First, passengers download the Digi Yatra app and put in their details. Then, they scan their boarding passes and face at special gates at the airport. If everything matches, they can go through without any problems.

The goal is to make flying easier for everyone. And it’s not just for India—soon, they might use it for international travel too!

With more airports joining in, Digi Yatra is making air travel smoother and safer for millions of passengers in India.
