  • Next 5 Years: India plans to construct 50 new airports, boosting regional connectivity and infrastructure.
  • Aircraft Orders: The country has ordered nearly 1,700 aircraft to support its growing aviation market.
  • Global Ranking: India is now the third-largest domestic aviation market in the world.
  • Growth Drivers: Naidu emphasized that this growth is driven by policy reforms, capital investment, and efforts to democratize civil aviation across the country.
  • Vision 2047: By the time India achieves its Viksit Bharat 2047 goal, the civil aviation sector will be a key enabler of a developed and connected India.

This expansion underscores India’s focus on strengthening regional connectivity, infrastructure, and the overall passenger experience, positioning the country as a global aviation hub.
