JetBlue has officially unveiled the name of its upcoming domestic first-class product: Blue First. The announcement follows months of speculation, with aviation enthusiasts suggesting names such as “Junior Mint” and “Mini Mint,” but the airline opted for a simpler branding approach.

Blue First will be positioned below JetBlue’s premium Mint cabin, its acclaimed long-haul business class featuring lie-flat seats on transatlantic routes. The new product marks JetBlue’s first true domestic first-class offering, expanding its premium travel portfolio.

With Blue First, JetBlue will compete directly against American Airlines, Delta Air Lines, and United Airlines, all of which already offer first-class cabins across most domestic mainline flights.

For much of its history, JetBlue has relied on extra-legroom economy seating and its Mint service to attract premium travelers. The introduction of Blue First signals the airline’s latest effort to strengthen its position in the competitive U.S. domestic premium travel market.
