India is preparing for a historic expansion in its aerospace sector with plans to run three parallel fighter jet production lines post-2030. The initiative aims to significantly boost domestic manufacturing and defence capabilities.

The plan includes the indigenous Advanced Medium Combat Aircraft, the HAL Tejas Mk2 developed by Hindustan Aeronautics Limited, and locally assembled Dassault Rafale jets through Dassault Reliance Aerospace Limited.

This multi-line production strategy is expected to transform India’s defence aviation landscape by increasing output, reducing dependency on imports, and strengthening industrial collaboration between public and private sectors.

The move reflects India’s long-term vision to become a major global aerospace hub while ensuring readiness for future security challenges through advanced fighter capabilities.
