An IndiGo flight operating from Navi Mumbai to Srinagar came into contact with a Visual Docking Guidance System (VDGS) pole while being positioned at a parking bay at Srinagar Airport on Friday morning. The incident involved flight 6E 225, operated by aircraft VT-NOG.
According to the Airports Authority of India, the aircraft was being positioned at Bay No. 06 at around 9:02 am when it struck the docking guidance pole. The aircraft reportedly sustained damage, while authorities are examining the circumstances surrounding the incident.
All passengers and crew members on board were safe, and no injuries were reported. Passengers and crew were safely deboarded using manual aircraft stairs. Airport operations continued normally following the incident.
