Jet Airways Sells Boeing 777s in Auction.

Bankrupt carrier Jet Airways has sold two of its Boeing 777 aircraft for ₹568.18 crore through an e-auction, as part of its ongoing liquidation process. The sale fetched bids significantly higher than the reserve prices set for the assets.

The two Boeing 777-300ER jets, previously based in Delhi, were auctioned via the BAANKNET platform. The transaction marks a key step in monetizing the airline’s remaining high-value assets.

Jet Airways, which ceased operations in 2019, has been undergoing a prolonged insolvency and liquidation process. The successful auction reflects strong demand for wide-body aircraft despite challenges in the aviation sector.

The proceeds from the sale are expected to contribute towards settling dues with creditors, as authorities continue efforts to resolve the airline’s financial obligations.
