Qatar’s Ambassador to the United States, Sheikh Meshal bin Hamad Al Thani, welcomed the Qatar national football team “Al Annabi” upon their arrival in Los Angeles on Saturday ahead of the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
In a post shared on X, Sheikh Meshal expressed his confidence in the national team and wished the players success as they prepare for football’s biggest tournament. He stated that he believes the squad will make Qatar proud and inspire fans across the country during the competition.
The FIFA World Cup 2026 is scheduled to take place from 11 June to 19 July 2026 across the United States, Canada, and Mexico, marking the first time the tournament will be jointly hosted by three countries.
Teams from around the world are continuing their preparations as excitement builds for the expanded global football event.
