Singapore Airlines Announces Huge Staff Bonus.

Singapore Airlines has announced a profit-sharing bonus of nearly six months’ salary for eligible employees after reporting a full-year net profit of S$1.18 billion for the financial year ending March 31, 2026. The announcement was made during a staff event at Singapore Expo shortly after the airline released its annual financial results.

Although the payout remains one of the highest in the global aviation industry, this year’s bonus is lower than previous years. Employees received bonuses worth 7.45 months of salary in FY2025 and 7.94 months in FY2024. The reduction comes after the airline’s net profit dropped 57.4% year-on-year.

The decline was largely linked to the absence of last year’s one-time accounting gain from the Vistara-Air India merger, along with the impact of Air India’s losses through Singapore Airlines’ 25.1% stake in the Indian carrier. Despite this, the airline delivered strong operational performance during the year.

Singapore Airlines recorded a historic revenue of S$20.5 billion, while the airline and its low-cost subsidiary Scoot carried a record 42.4 million passengers, marking a 7.7% increase compared to the previous year. The carrier continues to be viewed as a global benchmark for airline employee profit-sharing programs.
