Bhopal’s Raja Bhoj Airport is set to handle international flights during the upcoming Global Investors’ Summit (GIS) 2025, marking a significant milestone for the airport. Between February 23 and February 26, the airport will facilitate international arrivals and departures, including chartered planes and private jets.
While the exact international flights that will land at Raja Bhoj Airport are yet to be confirmed, it is expected that delegations from the UK, Germany, and Japan will arrive directly. These countries were recently visited by Chief Minister Mohan Yadav, further cementing their involvement in the summit.
Raja Bhoj Airport Director Ramjee Awasthi confirmed to Free Press that the airport already holds an International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) code, which is a crucial step toward its readiness for international operations.
This temporary expansion of the airport’s services highlights Bhopal’s growing prominence as a business and investment hub, with the GIS 2025 expected to attract global attention and foster valuable international partnerships. The move also reflects the state’s ongoing efforts to improve infrastructure and connectivity, providing a boost to both the region’s economy and tourism.
