A transport aircraft from the United States Air Force was spotted approaching Pakistan’s Nur Khan Airbase ahead of anticipated diplomatic talks involving Washington and Tehran. The aircraft, reportedly marked “Charleston,” drew attention as Pakistan prepares to host high-level discussions.

The planned talks between the United States and Iran remain uncertain, with no official confirmation on the arrival of negotiating teams. Tensions persist as both sides accuse each other of failing to uphold a fragile ceasefire agreement, particularly concerning developments in the Strait of Hormuz and regional conflicts.

Donald Trump has expressed dissatisfaction over Iran’s handling of commitments related to maritime routes, while Tehran has criticized Israeli actions in Lebanon, insisting they are part of the broader agreement. Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Esmaeil Baqaei emphasized that progress in talks depends on full adherence to ceasefire obligations.

The U.S. delegation is expected to be led by JD Vance, along with special envoy Steve Witkoff and advisor Jared Kushner. Iran has yet to officially disclose details of its negotiating team, adding to the uncertainty surrounding the outcome of the proposed discussions.
