Cathay Pacific‘s first Airbus A321neo featuring its all-new economy cabin has been spotted at Airbus Hamburg, marking the latest step in the airline’s fleet modernization programme.
The upgraded aircraft features a redesigned economy cabin with 183 seats, seven fewer than before, providing passengers with additional personal space and improved comfort. The refreshed cabin also introduces 13.3-inch OLED entertainment screens with 4K HDR10+ content, making it the world’s first economy cabin to offer this level of in-flight entertainment technology.
Passengers will also benefit from Bluetooth audio connectivity, allowing wireless headphone use, along with dual USB-C charging ports at every seat for improved device charging during flights.
The new interior is part of Cathay Pacific’s broader cabin enhancement programme, complementing the airline’s Aria Suite on the 777-300ER and Aria Studio on the A330-300. The airline plans to retrofit its entire A321neo fleet with the new economy product.
Cathay Pacific has consistently earned recognition for its passenger experience, winning Skytrax World’s Best Economy Class in both 2024 and 2025, and the latest upgrades aim to further strengthen its position as one of the world’s leading premium airlines.
