Adani Airport Holdings Limited’s subsidiary **Adani Airport City Limited (AACL) has announced an ambitious plan to develop integrated airport cities across its airport network in India.
The first phase of the project involves an investment of more than ₹20,000 crore, with around 22 million square feet of development planned across Mumbai, Navi Mumbai, Ahmedabad, Lucknow, Jaipur, and Guwahati.
The airport city concept aims to combine hospitality, retail, entertainment, convention centres, and commercial spaces into connected, walkable urban districts around airports.
The development will use a land bank of more than 655 acres spread across six airports in five states. Around 440 acres are located in Mumbai and Navi Mumbai, with nearly 70% of the planned investment focused on the Mumbai Metropolitan Region.
AACL said the project is designed to transform airports into major economic hubs, creating new opportunities in business, tourism, and urban development while enhancing passenger experiences.
