Alaska Airlines has announced the opening of its brand-new lounge at Portland International Airport (PDX) on June 4, 2026. The newly constructed facility replaces the airline’s previous lounge and doubles both its size and seating capacity, offering a significantly enhanced experience for travelers.
The nearly $18 million project took more than two years to complete and spans approximately 14,000 square feet. Designed to accommodate over 230 guests, the lounge features a Pacific Northwest-inspired atmosphere with soaring ceilings, expansive windows overlooking the airport’s new terminal, and a welcoming fireplace area.
A standout feature of the lounge is a handcrafted wooden mural of Mt. Hood created by artist Ben Butler. Guests can enjoy barista-made coffee, West Coast-inspired cocktails, locally sourced food options, power outlets at nearly every seat, and private phone booths for work or personal calls.
Access to the new lounge will be available to Alaska Lounge members, Alaska Lounge+ members, eligible First Class passengers, and qualifying Oneworld and partner airline travelers. Alaska Lounge+ members also receive access to all eight Alaska-operated lounges and nearly 90 partner lounges worldwide.
