Alaska Airlines celebrated a historic family milestone after Captain Michelle Miles and her son, First Officer Jeff Miles, operated together as the airline’s first-ever mother-son pilot team. The special flight was operated on a Boeing 737 from Seattle to Kahului, Maui.
For Jeff Miles, the journey marked the fulfillment of a dream decades in the making. He said he had waited 27 years for the opportunity to share a cockpit with his mother, who is now nearing retirement after a long and successful career at Alaska Airlines.
