Boeing has reached a major milestone in the development of its next-generation cargo aircraft with the rollout of the first Boeing 777-8 Freighter from its Everett production facility. The aircraft represents the latest addition to Boeing’s long-haul freighter portfolio.

Built on the advanced 777X platform, the 777-8F features the program’s signature large composite wings and is designed to offer improved fuel efficiency, greater range, and enhanced payload capability compared to current-generation freighters. The aircraft is expected to play a key role in the future of global air cargo operations.

Following the rollout, the aircraft will undergo final assembly work, engine installation, and a series of ground and flight tests before entering service. Boeing says the new freighter will help cargo operators meet growing demand while improving operational efficiency.

The 777-8 Freighter is expected to become Boeing’s flagship cargo aircraft later this decade, strengthening the company’s position in the long-haul freight market as airlines and logistics providers continue to modernize their fleets.
