Delta Air Lines has launched and resumed 23 international routes, strengthening its global network despite a slight overall capacity reduction. The airline is operating an average of 246 daily international departures in Q2 2026.
Despite the expansion, Delta’s total international schedule is marginally smaller year-over-year, with 51 departures removed—just a 0.2% decline. The adjustment reflects network optimization rather than a slowdown in growth.
Compared to competitors, American Airlines has posted a 1% increase in international capacity, while United Airlines has seen a larger reduction of around 0.5%.
Delta continues to maintain a strong global presence, operating roughly one in nine international flights from the US, reinforcing its position as a key player in long-haul aviation markets.
