flydubai has officially commenced scheduled services to Benina International Airport, becoming the first UAE airline to operate direct flights to the Libyan city. The new route strengthens air connectivity between the United Arab Emirates and eastern Libya.
The service will operate three times per week, providing passengers with a direct travel option between Dubai and Benghazi. The launch is expected to support business travel, tourism, and economic ties between the two regions.
With the addition of Benghazi, flydubai has expanded its African network to 13 destinations across nine countries. The airline continues to strengthen its footprint on the continent as part of its broader strategy to connect underserved markets with Dubai’s global aviation hub.
The new route further reinforces flydubai’s role in enhancing regional connectivity while offering travelers greater access to destinations across Africa, the Middle East, Europe, and Asia through its growing network.
