New Images Reveal Future Of Colombo Airport Terminal.

Fresh 3D renderings of the planned redevelopment of Bandaranaike International Airport Terminal 1 have been unveiled by Airport & Aviation Services (Sri Lanka) (Private) Limited, offering a detailed look at the future transformation of the country’s main international gateway.

The newly released images showcase a modernized terminal design featuring expanded passenger facilities, upgraded check-in and security areas, enhanced retail and dining spaces, and improved passenger flow throughout the airport. The project aims to significantly increase the airport’s capacity while elevating the overall travel experience.

The redevelopment forms part of Sri Lanka’s broader efforts to strengthen its aviation infrastructure and support future growth in tourism and international air travel. Once completed, the upgraded terminal is expected to handle increasing passenger volumes more efficiently and improve operational performance.
