Budget carrier SpiceJet has recorded a sharp recovery in domestic operations, more than doubling its market share to 4.3% in December 2025 from 1.9% in September. The growth reflects a strong capacity ramp-up and fleet expansion after months of operational constraints.

Induction of 16 aircraft during Q3 enabled the airline to restore routes and add new frequencies.
Capacity Increase:
Overall capacity expanded by 56% in the October–December quarter, supporting stronger passenger demand.
ASKM Performance:
Available Seat Kilometres (ASKMs) jumped from around 55 crore to 105 crore, reflecting a major rise in carrying capability.
Future Growth Target:
The airline plans to reach 220 crore ASKMs by Winter 2026 and operate 300+ daily flights as part of its long-term expansion strategy.
