British Airways has started a major nose-to-tail cabin refurbishment program for its fleet of 12 Airbus A380 superjumbos, with the multi-million pound upgrade beginning in June 2026.

The biggest change will be the retirement of the airline’s long-standing “Yin-Yang” Club World business class seats, a design introduced in 2000 that faced criticism for its limited privacy and lack of direct aisle access for some window passengers.

The refurbished A380s will feature British Airways’ modern Club Suite business class product with privacy doors, creating the world’s largest business class cabin with 110 Club Suites located across the entire upper deck.

The upgraded aircraft will also introduce a new First Class suite design and complimentary Starlink Wi-Fi connectivity for all passengers, improving the onboard experience across every cabin.

The first refurbished A380 is expected to return to commercial service later this year, while the remaining aircraft will undergo upgrades through 2028 as British Airways modernizes its flagship long-haul fleet.
