A London-bound flight operated by Air India was forced to return to Delhi after a mid-air technical issue, causing disruption to passengers. The flight AI 111, operated using an Airbus A350, had departed for Heathrow Airport before the situation unfolded.

According to data from Flightradar24, the aircraft made a turnaround while flying over Saudi Arabia airspace. The region has recently seen heightened tensions, adding to operational challenges for airlines.

The aircraft remained airborne for nearly seven hours before safely landing back in Delhi on Thursday afternoon. Passengers were informed of the issue, and safety protocols were followed as a precautionary measure.

This marks the second such incident in a week involving Air India, where a flight had to return mid-air due to technical reasons. The airline is expected to conduct detailed checks to prevent similar occurrences in the future.
