Akasa Air is aiming for significant growth over the next decade, with plans to become one of the 30 largest airlines globally by fleet size by 2030. According to CEO Vinay Dube, the airline is also targeting a 15% share of the Indian aviation market within the next five to seven years.

Since its launch in 2022, Akasa Air has rapidly expanded its domestic network, focusing on affordable fares and customer service. The airline has already placed substantial aircraft orders and is expected to continue adding to its fleet to support its ambitious growth targets.

Dube emphasized that Akasa Air’s long-term strategy includes expanding both domestic and international operations. The airline recently began international services and is positioning itself to capture a larger share of India’s fast-growing aviation sector.

As competition intensifies with established carriers like IndiGo, Air India, and SpiceJet, Akasa Air’s aggressive expansion plan reflects its confidence in India’s booming air travel market. With the country projected to become the world’s third-largest aviation market, Akasa’s growth trajectory could reshape the competitive landscape in the coming years.
