Cathay Pacific has permanently closed its lounge at Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) Terminal 3 in Manila as redevelopment work continues at the airport.

The airline confirmed that the lounge officially shut down on May 31, 2026, following the departure of the final Cathay Pacific flight from the terminal. The lounge, first opened in 2015, was widely used by Cathay Pacific passengers as well as eligible travelers flying with Oneworld partner airlines including Japan Airlines, Qantas, and Qatar Airways.

Known for its modern interior and popular Noodle Bar, the Cathay Pacific Lounge had become one of the preferred premium passenger spaces at Terminal 3 over the years. However, the airline stated that despite efforts to extend operations, the closure could not be avoided due to ongoing terminal redevelopment projects at NAIA.

Starting June 1, Cathay Pacific Business Class passengers and eligible Cathay Gold and Diamond members will now use the First Meridian Lounge located on Level 4 of Terminal 3. The premium lounge reportedly offers facilities including a live teppanyaki station, private work pods, a virtual golf simulator, and a children’s play area.

While Japan Airlines already uses the First Meridian Lounge, lounge arrangements for eligible Qantas and Qatar Airways passengers at Terminal 3 have not yet been officially confirmed.
